CITCO steps up to the challenge their competitors turned down.
City of Morganfield, Kentucky – The City of Morganfield was having trouble with old valves and pumps at the WWTP. Several contractors turned down the project due to lack of replacement valves and insufficient available space. CITCO stepped up to the challenge. CITCO measured the old valve and piping, and designed a plan with drawings to replace the current setup with new valves and pumps. CITCO estimated it would take two weeks to complete the project. However, the skilled installation team and well-planned scope of work expedited completion in just under a week.
CITCO completes project in 4 weeks that would take competitors 14 weeks!
Mt. Sterling, Kentucky – Mt. Sterling Water and Sewer experienced a lightning strike which took out most of our Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA) rendering all automated components of this system inoperable. Once we were able to evaluate our options for returning this system to operation, it was decided that given the age of this equipment and the extent of the damage, it was in our best interest to replace this system completely. In evaluating companies to build and install a complete system, most gave us a time frame of 14 weeks plus. Knowing our predicament CITCO agreed to rush the build to have this system in place in 4 weeks.
Our old system was a patchwork of multiple upgrades over the years and it took some rather innovative programming to keep it operational. Given we were already their customer, CITCO felt responsible that some of the programming choices made with regard to that system could have been better designed and been more straight forward, than those implemented. As a bonus, CITCO not only agreed to install our new SCADA system in a third of the time of their competitors, they also offered us a deep discount. It is especially satisfying to be affiliated with a company who when in their mind ‘provides a service less than what they feel they are capable of’ stands up and takes ownership of that fact. For that we are greatly appreciative and intend to affiliate ourselves with CITCO for many years to come.
