SC-408 is a blend of cationic polymers used for the clarification of wastewater. SC-408 is used in a broad range of liquid clarification processes in both municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment applications for settling sludge, clarifying wastewater, and precipitating out of phosphorus. SC-408 is effective over a pH range of 6.5 – 12. Other polymers used for clarification will decrease the pH and dissolved oxygen level.This is a large problem for wastewater treatment plants. SC-408 works differently, in that it does not decrease the wastewater pH and actually increases the dissolved oxygen level.
